| Up, up
and away: Neil McLaren of Adventure 001 |

The sky's the limit for a
Buckinghamshire based business satisfying the needs of the adventure
hungry.
Helicopter pilot Neil McLaren, 36,
had no idea his business,
Adventure 001, would take off when he set it
up to pay for flying lessons.
His hobby has now become a
successful and expanding company specialising in aviation and group
events with its own activity centres in the London, Chilterns and
Cotswolds regions.
Originally he wanted to share his
enjoyment of flying by bringing a variety of airborne activities to as
wide an audience as possible.
Starting in November, 2002 with just
a handful of local suppliers, the company quickly resourced a
nationwide network of aeroplane, helicopter and balloon outlets
throughout the UK.
The company now offers more than 200
locations to customers wishing to enjoy aviation experiences.
Adventure 001 sets itself apart by
supplying the best value experiences with no agency fees.
The success of this family business
run by pilots has surpassed even McLaren's expectations.
He said: "Because we are pilots
ourselves we provide the UK's best value aviation experience.
Following achievements in aviation, we now offer steam engine driving,
clay pigeon shooting at 25 nationwide locations including our own
activity centre in Buckinghamshire, Ferrari driving and rally car
days".
"We continually look for new
experiences to satisfy our adventure-hungry clientele."
The company's next goal is to
develop the aircraft charter market via it's
Aircraft Charter
website which again offers customers savings by eliminating brokers
fees.
London sightseeing tours, The
Dambusters tour (Sheffield) and Coast & Castles tours (Wales/Southend)
are already in its portfolio.
With access to a national fleet of
executive aeroplanes and VIP helicopters, McLaren is looking forward
to building on present success at an accelerated rate this summer.
